Join us in making sweet memories of your happy times on Alabama and Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast. We have arranged a variety of fun events exclusively for you, so relax and coast awhile with us:

Glass Blowing Demo at The Hot Shop at Coastal Arts Center (FREE— Limit 45)
Location: 26389 Canal Rd.; Orange Beach

January 6—1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.
The Hot Shop is Alabama’s premier hot glass blowing facility and its great fun to see the artists hard at work on their colorful creations. Be sure to bring a camera to document the process. Glass blowing classes are also available by appointment. After the demo you can take a peek at the Clay Studio and register for pottery classes if you wish. Spend some time browsing thru the art gallery, which is temporarily housed in trailers while the new art center is under construction.

Meyer Day at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (FREE—Limit 120)
Location: 1204 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

January 8—9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
Experience an up-close and personal self-guided tour of this popular attraction made famous in the Animal Planet series “The Little Zoo that Could.” Join us for coffee and doughnuts when you arrive and an animal show at 10:30 a.m.  

Wednesday Workshop-Photographing Alabama’s Coast (FREE—Limit 75)
Location: Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

January 13—10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
Baldwin County native Colette Boehm who serves at the Special Projects Director at Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism will be our guide to better photography on the coast. She will share her insights and helpful information primarily focused on our abundant nature locations.

Tara from Blue Girl Beading has created a project exclusively for you. The fee includes instructions and all materials to create your very own souvenir jewelry.

Wind Creek Casino Bus Trip to Atmore ($15—Limit 52)
Location: Bus departs from Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

January 21 -- 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Board a bus at Meyer’s office in Gulf Shores to begin an adventure to Wind Creek Casino in Atmore, AL. During your five-hour casino visit you will receive a $15 food credit and $10 free play to try your luck at the games such as “Wheel of Fortune”, “Sizzling 7’s”, “Double Diamond” and many more.

Becky from Hobby Lobby will provide instructions and materials to hand-craft two journal pages.

Golf Tournament at Peninsula Golf Course ($45—Limit 100)
Location: 20 Peninsula Blvd.; Gulf Shores (5 miles west of Hwy. 59)

February 3--11:00 a.m. shotgun start
A championship course designed by Earl Stone will be the location for our signature golf event in a scramble format beginning at 11:00 a.m. You’ll want to arrive a little early to register, practice your swing and perfect your putting. This picturesque golf course -- located beside Mobile Bay and among the live oaks, cypress and other native plants -- is an enjoyable layout for golfers of all skill levels. We invite you to stay for a delicious meal and awards celebration following play. Cash bar for beer and cocktails.

Ice Cream Social and Fashion Show (Free—Limit 100)
Location: Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 5—2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
The merchants at Pelican Place in Gulf Shores have partnered with Meyer to showcase their shopping and dining venues. Let’s get “social” the old fashioned way when you design your own sundae. Then sit back and enjoy the parade of fashions from Beach House Boutique and Too Hot Mamas.

Mini-Golf Relay for Life Fundraiser ($10—Limit 72)
Location: Shrimpy’s Mini Golf Arcade at 204 East 2nd St; Gulf Shores

February 8—10:00 a.m.
Join the fun and raise funds for Relay for Life when you play a round of mini-golf at Shrimpy’s Mini Golf Arcade next to Mikee’s. A light lunch of one-half po-boy sandwich, soup or gumbo and tea is included in your donation to the American Cancer Society.


Mardi Gras Day Parade
(FREE-Limit 250) 
Location: Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 9—8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
Let the good times roll. Join us for hot coffee and delicious donuts while gathering on our front lawn to watch the Gulf Shores parade that starts at 10. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair if you wish. The parade ends in time to head to Orange Beach to claim your spot along Perdido Beach Blvd. (Hwy 182) for the afternoon parade starting at 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday Workshop-Painting ($20—Limit 30)
Location: Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 10—1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
Becky from Hobby Lobby will provide instructions and materials to paint floral designs on two wine glasses.


Bellingrath Gardens Bus Trip to Mobile 
($29—Limit 52)
Location: Bus departs from Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 11--9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Comfortable shoes and a camera are a must for your leisurely stroll through one of the finest gardens in the country, featuring 65 acres of year-round blooms and beauty.  Admission includes a tour of the preserved home of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath built in 1935. Lunch is on your own at the Magnolia Café located near the entrance. Your choices are soup, sandwiches and salads served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be sure to save time to browse through the gift shop before boarding the bus for home.

Trivia Night ($5—Limit 30)

February 13—6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
Meyer Vacation Rentals is reserving four tables at this fun-filled popular event. We’ll decorate the tables and you can bring what you wish to drink and eat. There are raffles and other ways to contribute to this fundraiser that benefits the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach libraries. And it’s really ok if you’re not good at trivia because it’s all about having fun and raising funds for a great cause.

USS Alabama and GulfQuest Bus Trip to Mobile ($38—Limit 52)
Location: Bus departs from Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 16--8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is America’s most unique military attraction and is celebrating 50 years on beautiful Mobile Bay. Explore the USS Alabama Battleship, USS Drum submarine, aircraft collection and park memorials. At noon we’ll head to the newly opened GulfQuest National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico. Lunch is on your own at the The Galley located at the museum. The museum is the only maritime museum dedicated to the historical, cultural and economic significance of the Gulf of Mexico. The 90 exhibits are housed in GulfQuest’s container ship, the SS McLean, and include hands-on activities, theaters and simulators.

National WWII Museum & French Quarter Bus Trip to New Orleans ($49—Limit 52)
Location: Bus departs from Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 237:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
The Cresent City, New Orleans, is our destination for a fun day that starts early and ends late. Once we arrive at the French Quarter you will have a couple of hours to shop and have lunch on your own. Then we’re off to the National WWII Museum where admission includes Beyond All Boundaries, a 48-minute 4-D experience narrated by Tom Hanks, in the Solomon Victory Theater. After a full day we will stop in Slidell, LA for a meal before returning home.

Wednesday Workshop-Watercolor Cards ($20—Limit 30)
Location: Meyer office at 1585 Gulf Shores Parkway; Gulf Shores

February 24—1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
Becky from Hobby Lobby will provide instructions and materials to paint watercolor cards with envelopes.

Dolphin and Nature Cruise ($20—Limit 40)
Location: Cetacean Cruises at 25991 W. Perdido Ave (near intersection of Hwy. 161 and Canal Rd.); Orange Beach

February 25—12:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
No trip to the coast would be complete without a water adventure. This 40-foot pontoon boat is designed to slip into some of the creeks and swamps of the back bays while your knowledgeable tour guide points out the local flora, fauna and wildlife of course including dolphins.

  • Register for the events online at MeyerRE.com/WinterEvents. Or call 866-269-6914 and Meyer Vacation Rentals staff will assist you with registration.
  • Winter Guest events are exclusively for Meyer Vacation Rentals guests.
  • Reservations may be made for up to four people for most events with a limit of two for the Fashion Show, Dolphin & Nature Cruise and workshops.
  • You will be contacted following your registration for payment for the paid activities, so that we may also gather more information.
  • Activity fees are not refundable.

NEW rental option
We are now accepting reservations up to 24 months in advance. Note: An initial payment of 10% is due at the time of booking with the remaining 20% due one year prior to arrival.

January and February rentals
You can now reserve the single months of January and February up to 24 months in advance, when arriving and departing on the 1st day of the month.

Monthly Rates Online
An online feature of the rental search shows the total price quote, including tax and fees. The basic monthly rates are displayed in the rental property search to aid you in choosing the ideal property for your needs and budget. This feature is active for winter monthly rentals for the months of November, December, January or February, arriving and departing on the 1st of the month. When you find a property of interest, click on it and view the new price quote in the left-hand column. You will still need to call us at 866-269-6914 to complete your reservation.

Reminders, Hints and Tips

Mail—Mail CANNOT be delivered directly to your vacation residence. Only property owners have access to onsite mailbox keys, which are government property, not transferable, and cannot be duplicated. Your mail may be forwarded by renting a Gulf Coast area mailbox from your local Postmaster prior to your arrival.

Phone calls-Local phone calls are free. Long-distance providers charge an access fee.
