Hangout Music Festival
The only major music festival on the beach will be held in Gulf Shores where the road ends and the sand begins. The Hangout Music Festival will no doubt become a “must” for music lovers, and you are encouraged to attend the inaugural event on May 14-16, 2010.

Make your plans now for the three-day music festival and receive the 4th night FREE on condos and houses in the Orange Beach, Perdido Key and Fort Morgan area. Provide promo code XMUS for the 4th night free special valid for vacations May 12–18 (subject to availability; some restrictions apply). Note: Rental properties near the festival site in Gulf Shores are not included in this discount.

For transportation options, festival coordinators plan to provide shuttle service to the event.

Beyond the Beach: “Dinosaurs Downtown”
Beginning January 16 and running until April 25, 2010, the national premiere of the “Dinosaurs Downtown” traveling exhibit will open to the public at the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center in Mobile. This thrilling experience will feature 10 life-sized animatronics dinosaurs, a dinosaur photo opportunity and a fossil dig where young children can excavate for their very own "fossils." Add an IMAX experience with a combo pass to see the film Dinosaurs Alive. This is your chance to see the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and other giants before they go extinct.
