Kevin Danzig Growing up in a musical family in Southern California, Kevin Danzig has been a performing songwriter nearly his entire life and a professional since the age of 18. At age 11, Kevin was recording for K-TEL Records (Mike Curb Productions) as one of the jubilant voices of 50 Children’s Favorites. It was in 1978, however, that he got his first big rejection, when Chuck Barris (host of the Gong Show) told him, "Kid, you're TOO GOOD for this show!" For the past three consecutive years he has been invited to perform at the prestigious Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival in Perdido Key, Florida. He is known for his ability to read his audiences and give them what they want when they want it...he has an extensive "arsenal" of songs to choose from in his massive repertoire. He has shared the stage with numerous multi talented artists, including John Mayer, Shawn Mullins, Callaghan, Trout Fishing In America, John Hammond, Clay Cook, Mary Gautier, Ellis Paul, Martin Sexton, and many more. Kevin has won FIRST PLACE in the Folk/Singer Songwriter category (October 2016) for his newest single, “MY CHAUFFEUR” (The AKADEMIA AWARDS). His song “Come Clean” is featured on BRIAN PAPAZIAN'S 2016 album REBORN (www.brianpapazian.com). Kevin has three songs featured on the soundtrack of the cult movie classic SOULTAKER (Mystery Science Theatre 3000) and has won five BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Song Awards. His song HEY DEAN! (from the PLAYGROUND CD) was featured on the NPR syndicated radio program CAR TALK. A new retrospective album called "Hindsight 2020" is due next year heralding his forty years as a touring songwriter. Kevin has recorded nine full length CDs of original material (eight solo and one duet). He also has several singles out. "Hey Alexa! Hey Google! Play Kevin Danzig!"
