MEYER SERVICES TEAM ATTENDS PROFESSIONAL HOUSEKEEPING CONFERENCE

Saturday, November 24, 2012

A team of managers and key team members from Meyer Services, an SH Enterprises, Inc. company, recently attended the 2012 National Seminar of Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) held at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.

Durk Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Meyer Services, says “Our group attended sessions regarding lost and found systems, OSHA regulations, subs verses employees, influence-based supervision and building a winning team, plus product and equipment demos and many more informative presentations.”

Johnson further states, “During the national conference Sheila Hodges, chairman of the board of SH Enterprises, was nominated for the VRHP 2012 Stewart Couch Memorial Award in recognition of three decades of strong commitment to raising the level of professionalism in housekeeping.”

Theresa Berge, Meyer Services trainer, summed up her VRHP National Seminar experience by saying, “The issues faced every day from the minute the reservation is made to the checkout time are innumerable. Troubleshooting the problems that can arise in that time frame can seem daunting at times, but VRHP put so much in perspective, it was like finding someone who spoke my same language. There were so many problem resolution strategies that were encouraging.”
