High-Heat Drying & Ironing

Meyer CleanShield

Once the water has been extracted from the linens in preparation for final finishing by ironing or drying, sheets and pillowcases are sent through an ironer and exposed to temperatures of 300-325 degrees. All other items are dried in gas dryers at a temperature of between 400-450 degrees. For the sake of comparison, typical in-home driers heat items to between 123 and 176 degrees. At these temperatures, linens complete Starr's wash cycle both clean and crisply ironed.
