Job Description

Safety Manager:


Seeking full time safety professional to develop and implement policies and programs with proven history in loss prevention.  Required experience and ability to verify previous success in:

  • Reducing OSHA recordable and lost workday cases
  • Proper reporting of all on-the-job injuries, leading incident/injury investigation process, determine corrective measures, conduct analysis and actions taken to reduce/eliminate overall trends
  • Developing company safety policies, handbook and procedures
  • Training matrix defining required training, recordkeeping, train the trainers
  • Building safety orientation program to include post job offer physical agility testing
  • Specify hazard reporting and proper inspections
  • Establishing company-wide safety committee to extend safety initiatives to all employees
  • Knowledgeable in workstation ergonomics and proper engineering
  • Trained in safe work procedures including injury to soft tissue
  • Update Emergency Preparedness Plan and Medical Plan
  • Experienced in control of hazardous energy
  • Advanced knowledge in DOT regulations/recordkeeping, safety vehicle inspections, driver training
  • Develop Vendor Safety Program &  monitor vendor certificates of insurance


Primary work sites include Gulf Shores/Foley, Alabama with semi-monthly travel to New Orleans location.  Serious candidates only with aspiration to develop a safety culture through on-going staff development.
