Few travel experiences are as relaxing as a beach vacation. Before you can sit back and soak up the sun outside your Gulf Shores condos, you need a list of must-have items, so we suggest you consider bringing a few of these objects in addition to your towel and sunscreen.

Beach Towels

Learn what items may help make your beach trip all the more enjoyable. One of the calling cards of Alabama and Florida's Gulf Coast is the striking white sand. A beach towel can double as something to sit on and something to dry off with after your jaunt in the surf.

Pails and shovels

The extraordinary sand along the Gulf Coast is ideal for building sand castles. In fact, some avid travelers even believe it's among the best in the world. Families that want to spend time together while having some fun on the shore may find that building sand castles is a top-notch activity everyone can enjoy. They'll get a chance to exercise their creative muscles while entertaining themselves when they are out of the water.

Frisbee

If you're venturing out from your Gulf Shores vacation rentals with your entire family in tow, there's a good chance you're going to be loaded down with toys and equipment needed for plenty of beach activities, such as the pails needed to build a sand castle. For some families, however, quiet activities like playing in the sand aren't quite enough. Those groups who may want to burn off some energy on the shore may find that a Frisbee can be a great option. There's normally plenty of space on the Gulf Shores beaches, so you'll have no problem spreading out and playing a relaxing game.

Ziploc bags

During your stay in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, you may make some wonderful memories that you will want to keep with you for all your days. A great way to do this is by finding just the right souvenir to remind you of the trip.

Young children may enjoy hunting the beach for colorful and unique seashells, and the favorites they find can serve as great souvenirs from their time at the shore. You can store these relics in sealed plastic bags, which will help keep the shells safe from damage while also containing any excess sand or dirt from the rest of your bag.
