Tacky Jack's offers a fun place to dine

There are a few locations along Alabama's Gulf Coast that have become an integral part of the community, and Tacky Jack's is without a doubt one of these establishments.

About Tacky Jack's

Head to one of Tacky Jack's locations for a fun and unique dining experience. The history of Tacky Jack's stretches back to the 1970s, when a small bar and grill opened up next to several area marinas in Orange Beach to provide boaters and anglers with a fun place to refuel at the end of a long day on the water. It continued growing in popularity until 1979, when it became Tacky Jack's Grill & Tavern. While the establishment has changed owners since then, it maintained its original dedication to serving up tasty treats in a festive environment and has only grown in scale.

Now Tacky Jack's boasts multiple locations throughout major destinations on the Alabama Gulf Coast. As more families consider heading to the area for their vacations, the interest in Tacky Jack's continues to grow, and you won't want to miss this eatery during your trip to the region.

Ideal for travelers

With multiple locations throughout the Gulf Coast, Tacky Jack's is perfect for vacationers staying at one of the area's beach houses. The original location in Orange Beach is a popular stop, but with eateries in Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan as well, it is easy for travelers staying anywhere along the coast to stop by for a bite to eat. No reservation is required, and the restaurant offers take-out as well.

No matter which location you choose, you are sure to enjoy the atmosphere. The Orange Beach location has garnered numerous awards from the surrounding community, including the Local's Favorite Hangout and Friendliest Staff, so you won't want to miss out on the fun.

What's on the menu

At the heart of every visit to Tacky Jack's is the menu, which features a wide range of fresh seafood and hearty Southern cuisine. The breakfast menus generally includes omelets and unique creations that may be the perfect way to start your day. The Farmer's Omelet, consisting of potatoes, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, sausage, ham and cheese, is a favorite and has even earned some culinary awards. If you'd rather mark your morning with a more distinct meal, consider the Breakfast Burrito, Shrimp & Cheese Grits or Biscuits & Gravy - all of which are Southern-style dishes that are sure to fill you up.

If you're visiting for lunch or dinner, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of seafood dishes and filling entrees. Everything from fish tacos and soft shell crab dinners provide a taste of the sea, while more traditional burgers, wraps and sandwiches are also available.

Additionally, Tacky Jack's offers daily specials that give guests the chance to dine on freshly caught fish or other in-season ingredients. Be sure to see what your chosen location is serving up on a given day to try some local favorites. There is also a kid's menu that can keep even the youngest of diners satisfied.

Although the menu may be what draws you to one of Tacky Jack's locations, there are plenty of other features that will keep you coming back for more. Each restaurant offers stunning views of the beach or local waterways, and with outdoor dining spaces, guests can enjoy the good weather with a meal out under the sun. There is also plenty of indoor dining if you'd rather take a break from the warm weather.

You'll even have a chance to purchase some gear from Tacky Jack's at the on-site shop, which sells clothing, jewelry and a few vacation accessories that can help make your time along the Gulf Coast more enjoyable and memorable.
