If you are planning to bring your boat on your next Gulf Coast vacation, there are numerous sites throughout the area from which you can launch.

Public Boat Launch Sites In & Around Gulf Shores

There are numerous public boat launches available in Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan, Orange Beach and Perdido Key.

Gulf Shores
Four public launch sites are located in Gulf Shores.

Canal Park launch is located under the Ala. Hwy. 59 bridge in Gulf Shores. The launch is complemented by plenty of paved parking.

Lagoon Park Launch is located on Ala. Hwy. 180, two miles west of Ala. Hwy. 59. There are two ramps, three docks and lights. Twenty-five parking spots and restrooms round out the features of this venue.

Two other ramps on Fort Morgan Road include the Fort Morgan Boat Launch, with two ramps and parking for 10 vehicles, and the Pines Boat Launch, with a ramp and a dock.

Orange Beach
There are two public boat launches located in Orange Beach, both of which are part of the Gulf State Park system and offer paved parking.

Cotton Bayou Launch is located on the north side of Perdido Beach Blvd., about a quarter-mile east of Ala. Hwy. 161. The launch is located directly across from Perdido Beach Boulevard from the Cotton Bayou Beach Access. Two ramps are available.

The Boggy Point Launch is located at the end of Marina Road, just off Ala. Hwy. 161. The recently renovated launch features new docks and ramps and paved parking.

A unique way to explore Orange Beach by boat is to visit the sites on the Orange Beach Canoe Trail. Designated canoe trail sites are posted along the shored of Wolf Bay, Bay La Launch, Arnica Bay, Bayou St. John and Cotton Bayou.

Landing sites are on Gulf Bay Road, Cypress Avenue, Waterfront Park, Palmetto Extension, Harrison Park, Mississippi Avenue, Look Rook Road, Wilson Boulevard, Boggy Point and Cotton Bayou.

Canoe trail access points are open during daylight hours, and parking areas are only open to canoe trail users.

No motorized watercraft may be launched from these sites.

Perdido Key
There are three options to consider for those staying in the Perdido Key area.

The Galvez Landing Boat Launch is located on Galvez Road just off Innerarity Point Road. The launch features two ramps and two docks.

The Millview Boat Launch is located just south of U.S. Hwy. 98 at Dog Track Road. Parking is limited at this launch.

Big Lagoon State Park Boat Launch features two ramps and two docks. Paid access to the state park is required, and there is a nominal fee associated with launching.
