The world’s fastest offshore race boats will blast into Orange Beach April 17-19, marking the first event of the 2020 season for the American Power Boat Association (APBA)/Race World Offshore Super Series and the return of APBA's power boat racing to the Gulf Coast since 2012.

“We’d like to do five or six races next year,” said Larry Bleil, Race World Offshore president and founder referring to the 2020 season. “Orange Beach has been raced before, and we’d like to do another on a lake that has never been raced on.”

For the Key West World Championships, the organization added concerts, a VIP experience and shuttle transportation to add excitement to the event.

The 2020 schedule is as follows, with dates subject to change.

Orange Beach, Ala. – April 17-19
Lake Lanier, Ga. – June 12-14 (pending)
Dunkirk, N.Y. – July 10-12
Clearwater, Fla. – Sept. 25-27
Key West, Fla. – Nov. 8-15

While more information on the race route and other details are expected soon, be sure to book your beach condo or house to serve as your race headquarters. Depending on your location, you may even be able to hear the roar of the power boat engines from your private condo or house balcony.
