Ring in the New Year with a bang by participating in all the fun activities in and around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

Noon Year’s Eve Party Is Fun For All Ages

Start off at LuLu’s Homeport Marina in Gulf Shores for Lucy Buffett’s kid-friendly Noon Year’s Eve Party.

The party is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. New Year’s Eve and will appeal to kids of all ages. Crafts, kid-safe fireworks (it’s actually bubble wrap) and a sandcastle-building contest are a few of the fun activities you’ll encounter.

At noon, there’s a beach ball drop, with hundreds of colorful beach balls flooding LuLu’s beach. A live band, face painting, balloon animals and more will be part of the festivities.

Join The Street Party At The Wharf

The Wharf in Orange Beach is the site of street-party-style events and activities throughout the day and into midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Kids’ activities begin at 10 a.m., and include a mechanical bull, rock wall, bouncy house, surf simulator, trampoline jumpee, face painting, camel rides, fire truck, poodle show, celebratory confetti drop at noon, and more.

After the noon confetti drop, kids’ activities will resume from 5-9 p.m.

Live music will entertain beginning at 5 p.m.

At midnight, the marlin will drop signaling that the New Year has been reeled in, and a fireworks celebration will follow.

Admission is free, but some of the kids’ activities range in price from $5-$10.

Dance & Dine

Get your moves on at the Alabama Gulf Coast Music Hall on the Foley Beach Expressway with a New Year’s Eve celebration that includes a dinner show and dance.

Beginning at 6 p.m., enjoy the entertainment of Don and Shane and their “Human Jukebox” as you dine. The “Elvis Remembered” show will take the stage from 8-9 p.m.

Dinner, show and dance advance tickets are $50 per person or $60 at the door. Dance-only advance tickets are $20 per person and $25 at the door. A table of eight may be reserved for $400 plus tax.

Flora-Bama New Year’s Eve Bash

Another fun New Year’s Eve celebration is the Flora-Bama New Year’s Eve Bash.

Live music will be performed on all three stages. Food, party favors and champagne flow all night. The evening begins at 6 p.m.

Tickets cost $40 per person (18-20 year olds will be charged an extra $10 per person at the door if a $40 ticket was purchased in advance). Ticket price includes all-you-can-eat dinner buffet from 6-11 p.m., breakfast buffet from midnight-2 a.m., free champagne split, party favors, souvenir huggie, live music and surprises all night long.

Music, Food & Friends At The American Legion

Join the good folks at the American Legion Post 44 in Gulf Shores for a New Year’s Eve party from 6 p.m.-1 a.m.

Enjoy live music as you dance and socialize with your friends. Tickets cost $25 per person and include champagne and breakfast. This event is open to the public and is non-smoking.

Get Your Heart Pumping For 2019

Kick off the New Year in an invigorating way—at the famous Flora-Bama Polar Bear Dip on New Year’s Day.

You’ll join hundreds of other dippers who show up in their clothes, swimsuits or costumes as they dip into the Gulf of Mexico at high noon.

The Flora-Bama provides a traditional feast with black-eyed peas, collards, ham and dinner rolls for all who take the plunge.

This event is free and kid-friendly.
