OWA recently announced it will add Gravity Island Watersports to its lake in the entertainment district of Downtown OWA in summer 2021.

Gravity Island offers two water attractions: Aqua Play and Wake Park, the first of their kind in the area.

Aqua Play offers recreational waterplay on two inflatable obstacle courses in the lake. Guests slip, slide and try not to fall off the course as they test their versatility and rush across obstacles.

Wake Park is a two-tower cable system stretching across the lake. The system uses an overhead cable spanning more than 700 feet with a carrier to pull riders by rope and handle to wakeboard, wakeskate, kneeboard, water ski or go tubing.

Operated by professional wakeboarder T.J. Allen and his wife, Caitlin, staff will provide hands-on training with the cable system to help visitors glide across the lake. Certified lifeguards will watch all the action to ensure a fun, safe experience for guests.

The team will also coach and give lessons to anyone looking to improve their wakeboarding skills.

A new indoor and outdoor waterpark will be opened at OWA in 2022.
