Yelp recently named the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola to its Top 20 list of museums in the United States.

Yelp’s list ranked U.S. businesses categorized as museums based on the number of reviews and their overall star ratings. Yelp publishes crowd-sourced reviews about local businesses.

The list includes several military museums, including the National Naval Aviation Museum, named No. 14.

The National Naval Aviation Museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most visited museums in the state of Florida.

Visitors can explore more than 150 restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation.

These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the museum’s nearly 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds.

The National Naval Aviation Museum, open free to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is located aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, the Cradle of Naval Aviation. Established in 1914, NAS Pensacola is the oldest naval air station, and all Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviators and Naval Flight Officers pass through her gates.

NAS Pensacola also serves as the home base for the world-famous Blue Angels Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron.

Grab the family and head down to the beach for a  vacation that includes a visit to the National Naval Aviation Museum. A beach house in Perdido Key might just be the perfect home base from which to explore the museum and other Perdido Key area attractions. Or a condo might be the perfect fit.
