LuLu’s is located at the foot of the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge on the north side of Ala. Hwy. 59. It is adjacent to Homeport Marina and is hard to miss from the Intracoastal Canal bridge, thanks to its bright blue roof.
LuLu’s is a place for escapism and crazy fun for locals and visitors. Owned and operated by Jimmy Buffett’s “Crazy Sista” Lucy Buffett, the restaurant offers a fun environment for visitors to enjoy great food, tons of fun, shopping, live music and more—all wrapped up in a waterfront ambiance.
There’s usually a wait on busy summer evenings, so be sure to let the kids burn off some steam by climbing the Mountain of Youth, playing beach volleyball, or getting their faces painted or their hair wrapped.
Lucy is the author of cookbooks showcasing recipes from the Gulf Coast called “Gumbo Love.” Called a love letter to the Gulf Coast’s vibrant food culture, ‘Gumbo Love’ is Lucy’s second book and is a guide to regional fare that is interwoven with her philosophy of relaxation, freedom, gratitude, enjoyment and whimsy.
In addition to LuLuPalooza, there are many other fun activities to enjoy that and every weekend, such as shopping at The Wharf or Tanger Outlets, visiting the new amusement park and roller coaster at OWA, or enjoying a sports event in Gulf Shores.
