ORANGE BEACH—American Roads, which operates the toll bridge crossing the Intracoastal Waterway on the Beach Express has lowered toll rates for visitors using the bridge from $3.50 per car to $2.75 per car until after Labor Day.

The price reduction, company officials said, is meant to help ease congestion on Ala. Hwy. 59, the main connection from U.S. Interstate 65 to Alabama’s beaches.

American Roads has committed to spending $5 million on improvements to help relieve congestion by spring 2018.

Especially during summer, the Beach Express can help save a significant amount of time in reaching your beach destination.

Once exiting the bridge, turn right to access Gulf Shores or Fort Morgan or left to reach Orange Beach and Perdido Key.
