The company that operates the bridge over the Intracoastal Canal has lowered its toll from $3.25 to $2.75 per car to help ease traffic to the beach this summer.

Lower Toll For Beach Express Bridge

ORANGE BEACH—American Roads, which operates the toll bridge crossing the Intracoastal Waterway on the Beach Express has lowered toll rates for visitors using the bridge from $3.50 per car to $2.75 per car until after Labor Day.

The price reduction, company officials said, is meant to help ease congestion on Ala. Hwy. 59, the main connection from U.S. Interstate 65 to Alabama’s beaches.

American Roads has committed to spending $5 million on improvements to help relieve congestion by spring 2018.

Especially during summer, the Beach Express can help save a significant amount of time in reaching your beach destination.

Once exiting the bridge, turn right to access Gulf Shores or Fort Morgan or left to reach Orange Beach and Perdido Key.

The Wharf Orange Beach is adjacent to the Beach Express, with all of its shops, restaurants, movie theater, marina and amphitheater. Also located at the terminus of the Beach Express is the Orange Beach Event Center, where numerous conferences, sports events, trade shows and more are regularly conducted.

The Beach Express is more than just a quick way to reach the beach. It is now home to a primary entrance to the new OWA amusement park and the new Foley Event Center and sports complex. The Beach Express also offers quick access to the back entrance of the Tanger Outlets Foley, with 100+ stores.

Use the Beach Express to reach your vacation rental faster. Stay in a luxurious 5+-bedroom beach house and enjoy plenty of space, privacy as easy access to all the entertainment options in the area.
