According to the Press-Register, the money raised through these festivals has supported public safety education programs for children, and has paid for thermal imaging equipment and non-budgeted items like Freddy the Fire Truck, a small robotic fire truck that sprays water and is used to teach fire safety to children.

The event is fun for all ages, so whether you're vacationing at a Gulf Shores rental with the kids, grandma and grandpa, or just your spouse, the festival is a must.
