Now, it’s known for something more. The Copper Kettle Tea Bar and Restaurant was listed on the Yelp Community Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021 list.
Listed at #66, the Foley hideaway is among Yelpers’ favorite restaurants they can’t wait to visit again. The Copper Kettle made the list with five-star fine dining restaurants, vegan delis, burger joints, sushi spots, international restaurants, and more.
Copper Kettle is praised for its specialty tea blends. “We have a tea to fit every mood. Our specialty blends offer a variety of benefits," writes the owner on their Facebook page. "You can pick from over 50 tea blends with a wide range of perks including energy, more focus, wellness, detoxification, relaxation and more. We also have a solid variety of pure green, black, white, rooibos and herbal teas. We offer only the highest quality of loose-leaf teas. We believe in what we’re sharing with our community, we even drink our own tea at our home.”
A very special treat is the shop’s high tea service, which is available with a 24-hour reservation. In addition, there is a variety of treats on the changing daily menu, including quiche, handcrafted soups and scones.
This Yelper left a five-star review and commented on their high tea experience:
“I have been a regular at Copper Kettle for several years and most regular since moving here full-time just over a year ago. While I have left a glowing 5-star rating previously I fully feel like their high tea deserves a review all its own. Don't get me wrong. Their everyday fare is still extraordinary and it’s anything but just everyday offerings because they are always serving up freshly made and new food and tea mixtures to delight. However, their high tea is a very special treat and one that I highly recommend for all.
“My daughter and her husband take their high tea seriously and have enjoyed them across the country as well as in places like London and Tokyo. They have even taken classes and instructions in teas and tea ceremonies. That said, Copper Kettle is one of her all-time favorites and when visiting from Pennsylvania she makes this one a ritual part of her time here.
“The folks at Copper Kettle are very warm, welcoming and have created an extraordinary eclectic atmosphere inside that reminds me of an apothecary with the plethora of floor-to-ceiling small bins of bagged teas, many with samplers to sniff and an outdoors that is a mix of someone's backyard and a hobbit's shire. It's cool!
“You must make reservations for a high tea in advance since they set up your lovely and special table ahead of your arrival. The foods are all prepared just for you, presented on a tiered service, and includes courses of soup, finger sandwiches, fruits, scones and more to be followed by freshly prepared desserts. And, of course, each person gets to choose their own tea, either hot or cold, from their very extensive selection of teas. The attention to detail and quality of the food and service is a real joy that we always enjoy!”
