The Gulf Coast region is said to have inspired the musical careers of performers like Jimmy Buffett and many others.

So it’s no surprise that, in addition to major music festivals like the Hangout Music Fest and the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, you will find live musical performances at venues throughout Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan, Orange Beach and Perdido Key just about any day of the week. And Meyer Vacation Rentals’ concert page is the go-to resource for staying in the know.

Two major area venues for musical performances are Lulu’s at Homeport Marina and Flora-Bama Lounge & Package.

Lulu’s at Homeport Marina
Lulu’s in Gulf Shores served as one of the many venues for the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, which was held Nov. 5-15 this year. Patrons will find live performances at Lulu’s just about every night. Artists include Brent Burns, Greg Brown, Lefty Collins, Adam Holt, Cadillac Attack and more.

If you’re hungry, you’ll find a diverse menu ranging from Cheeseburgers in Paradise (proprietor Lucy Buffett is Jimmy’s sister, after all) to baskets full of shrimp, red snapper and more.

Flora-Bama Lounge & Package
Want more tunes? Rock out at the Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, home of the Interstate Mullet Toss. Here, you’ll find four bandstands and live music daily. Also having hosted Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival performances, the Flora-Bama offers nightly live music from performers like Smokin’ Elvis, T Bone Montgomery, Jezebel’s Chill’s, Big Muddy and more. You’ll even find that all musicians (regardless of talent) are welcomed at open mic night.

If you need a bite to eat, Flora-Bama offers munchies, seafood baskets, burgers and oysters, among other treats.

Stay tuned to our concert page for regular updates! In addition to regular performance schedules, we will also post information about next year’s Hangout Fest (May 20-22, 2016) and 32nd Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival (Nov. 3-13, 2016).
