Next time you visit, be sure to head over to the new park at Lagoon Pass, a popular fishing spot for locals and visitors.

The ADA-accessible park now features a new 300-foot fishing pier with a 15-foot-by-40-foot deck over deeper water, pavement and biking paths.

The cost for the project came in at just less than $200,000. A grant from the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resourced paid $50,000 and the city of Gulf Shores covered the rest.

Find your favorite beach house or condo in Gulf Shores and be sure to visit Lagoon Pass Park during your stay.
