The Hangout Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Weekend will be held Nov. 4 and 5, 2016, at The Hangout in Gulf Shores.
The event showcases the talents and tastes of the best chefs from the Southeast for an afternoon of oysters and spirits on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Visitors should plan to sample oyster dishes from dozens of restaurants that will be serving Rockefeller, Gulf Coast Cajun, raw and a variety of other uniquely prepared oysters. Fun and informative cooking demos will be held throughout the day Saturday.
More than 60 craft beers will be available from breweries such as Lagunitas, Oskar Blues, Good People, Straight To Ale, Abita, Fairhope Brewing, and Goose Island. Plus, craft cocktails, Champagne and Bloody Marys will be featured throughout the day to help wash the oysters down.
