With more than 1,150 vacation rental properties situated along a 38-mile stretch of beach from Fort Morgan, Ala., in the west to Perdido Key, Fla., in the east, Meyer Vacation Rentals is known for its views, value and variety.

“No matter what your budget allows you to spend on a vacation rental, we are here to make it happen for you,” said Meyer Vacation Rentals President Michelle Hodges.

With such a large inventory of condos and houses, Meyer has a view to suit everyone.

How a condominium complex or house is situated determines the view you will have.

Gulf Front: Many vacationers opt for a Gulf-front view. This view provides an excellent sightline to the beach from your house or condo directly on the Gulf of Mexico. There are no other condos or houses between your balcony/deck and the beach.

In the majority of properties, your view will be panoramic, however, at a few condos and houses, the adjacent properties are situated closer to the beach on one or both sides, which makes your Gulf view still direct but not panoramic. The walking distance to the water’s edge varies by property.

Gulf View: Properties that are Gulf view in orientation offer a variety of beach views, ranging from excellent to angled or partial from your condo on the Gulf of Mexico. The position of the condo building on the beach creates the type of view from the balcony of your individual property.

Your advantage, in addition to the view, is the location of your property on the beach side of the street.

Gulf Side: A few vacation rentals are considered Gulf side, where there is no view of the beach from your condo on the Gulf of Mexico due to the position of the condo building. The advantage with a Gulf-side property, however, is the location on the beach side of the street.

Gulf Oriented: Vacation rentals that are Gulf oriented are near the beach but not on the beach side of the street. Your beach views will either be excellent, good, angled, partial or no view depending on how the buildings on the beach side of the street are positioned. In most cases, you will have easy beach access nearby.

Waterfront: There are many bodies of water on the Gulf Coast—lagoons, bays, bayous and more. Waterfront properties are located directly on one of these bodies of water. Views of the backwaters will be excellent form houses. Water views from condos will be excellent, good, angled, partial or no view depending on how the buildings are positioned on the backwaters. In most cases, you will have easy beach access nearby.

Course Oriented: The Gulf Coast area is blessed with golf courses to challenge all skill levels. And Meyer’s inventory of vacation rentals feature properties that are located on or near a signature course. These course-oriented properties feature excellent or partial views of the course.

Meyer Vacation Rentals is also known for offering vacation rentals to suit any budget. Whether you need a beach cottage for a couple’s getaway or a property large enough for a family reunion, Meyer’s vacation rental properties are a great value.

In a vacation rental, you get more space and pay 50 percent less per square foot than the average hotel.

Also adding value is the ability for multiple families or friends to split the cost of a vacation rental. And, private bedrooms and bathrooms mean vacationers do not have to share everything. There’s space to hang out in common areas like living or dining rooms, instead of everyone sitting on one bed.

And, if you can be flexible with the type of view you want, the time of year of your vacation, amenities or other factors you may also recognize savings on your reservation.

A condo’s amenities depend on the building. Anything is possible, including indoor and outdoor pools, lazy rivers, water slides, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, full spas, tennis courts, fitness rooms, media centers, wireless Internet access, game rooms, on-site restaurants, putting greens or even life-sized chess boards. Of course, the price of your stay will reflect the preferred luxuries.

Houses may have some of the same amenities, depending on location or subdivision. Some are equipped with private, shared or community pools; hot tubs; multiple balconies or decks; more than one master suite, etc. Plus, houses feature more room to accommodate people and parking than many condos.

With more than 1,150 properties, all individually owned and all unique, Meyer manages vacation rentals that range from one bedroom all the way up to 20 bedrooms, offering you the ability to sleep anywhere from two people all the way up to 56.

When you don’t need a lot of space, there are efficiency-style condos on the beach. We also have fishing cottages with piers on the bay. There are boat-friendly properties, dog-friendly properties and houses with private pools.

There are houses in subdivisions with amenities shared by neighborhood occupants, and cottages tucked away near a nature preserve. And there are condos with a variety of luxury, resort-style amenities.

There are properties within walking distance of major family attractions, a historic fort, restaurants galore, and more. If it’s a quieter experience you want, there are numerous rentals tucked away off the main beach road.

There are ground floor and lower-floor properties for people who don’t enjoy heights or who might be mobility challenged. There are condos in large complexes and those that are more low density.

Depending on what you’re looking for in a vacation rental, you’re bound to find it with Meyer.
