On the Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast, we know how to have a good time, and we love to eat good food! So, we’ve combined our passions into events that celebrate both.

Events and festivals on the Gulf Coast range from the Annual National Shrimp Festival, Elberta German Sausage Festival, Hangout Oyster Cook OffHangout Music Festival, Mardi Gras Parades and more!

The Annual National Shrimp Festival is always held the second full weekend in October. The Elberta German Sausage Festival is held twice a year—the last Saturday in March and the last Saturday in October. The Hangout Oyster Cook Off is held in early November. Mardi Gras, or "Fat Tuesday," is the last day of the Carnival season as it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Mardi Gras parades are held on Fat Tuesday in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The Hangout Music Festival is held Friday-Sunday in mid-May.

From shrimp to oysters and from music and Mardi Gras, no matter the time of year, you are bound to find a fete to feed your passion! Enjoy what the locals enjoy at one of our many seafood restaurants and the only worry you will have will be how to choose which ones to visit!

Enjoy these festivals from your three-bedroom Gulf Shores rental.
