Gulf Coast vacationers now have a new fun pit spot to explore on their way to the beachfront destinations of Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan, Orange Beach and Perdido Key—Buc-ee’s.

Buc-ee's BeaversSituated 39 minutes north of Gulf Shores beaches at the intersection of U.S. Interstate 10 and the Baldwin Beach Express, this Buc-ee’s travel center and convenience store joins a list of 34 others in Texas, including one in New Braunfels, Texas, that is considered the largest convenience store in the world.

How does Buc-ee's convenience store and travel center differ from the typical convenience stores/gas stations? According to al.com, the Alabama Buc-ee’s is believed to be the largest travel station in the state at 52,235 square feet. Additionally, there are a whopping 120 fuel pumps.

Buc-ee's InsideGet your gas, park and mosey on inside to be greeted by friendly team members selling branded T-shirts, tons of unique gifts (ranging from coastal to country) and souvenirs, beach umbrellas and chairs, and more.

And the food!

In the center of the store, you’ll find a display case filled dozens of types of fudge (They’ll let you try as many as you want!). There's also a wall filled with different types of beef jerky. Want something hot? Place your order for freshly made items. There's also hot coffee; freshly made barbecue pork, sausage and brisket; conveniently packaged fresh and healthy snacks; ice cream; canned goods; ice; soda; and whatever else you might need to pack your cooler either for the rest of your short trip to the beach or even your weeklong stay!
