The Benefits Of Lower Floor Condo Rentals
When selecting a beach property for a vacation, many people specifically request to stay in properties on the fifth floor or lower
According to Meyer Vacation Rentals’
head vacation planner, Anna Grantham, there are several considerations and benefits for those who wish to rent a property on a lower level: quick access to units by stairs; proximity to amenities and the beach; feeling of safety for children and those with fear of heights or elevators; and desire to feel closer to the Gulf and hear the waves outside the balcony door.
“The majority of people who ask for units that are on the fifth or lower floors have children in their party,” Grantham said, adding that many guests enjoy the feeling of being “together” with older children or family members who might be at the pool or at the beach.
With just over 1,000 square of living space, these Gulf-front condos sleep anywhere from four to six guests in one or two bedrooms layouts.
“They can keep an eye on older teens at the beach from the shaded, private balcony, or even still have conversations with family members while they are at the pool below.”
Grantham said guests who request a unit on a lower floor say they feel closer to the Gulf of Mexico and the beach, which means they can hear the waves and even “feel and smell” the fresh, salt-infused Gulf breezes.
A lower-level unit could also provide quick access to amenities such as pools, fitness rooms, saunas and steam rooms, vending machines and more, she said.
For vacationers with a fear of heights or who wish to avoid elevators, staying on a lower level brings a greater sense of safety and security, Grantham said.
“We are very tuned into making sure our guests feel 100% comfortable during their stay. This is why we created this convenient search option to allow guests to quickly locate all properties that are available on a fifth or lower floor, including both beach condos and houses. We have more than 600 options that fit the criteria.”
