Get Moving & Enjoy Beautiful Azalea Blooms During The Azalea Trail Run
Feel like getting outside in March? Join in the fun on Saturday, March 19, 2016, during the annual Azalea Trail Run in Mobile, Alabama.
Participants will traverse the streets of old Mobile, where in early spring the city is in full bloom.
The pink hues of azaleas mingled with the white blossoms of dogwood and bridle wreath are everywhere in sight, and the sweet fragrance of purple wisteria drifts gently in the air.
Thousands of runners race down the oak-shaded streets lined by magnificent old homes that evoke images of a time long past.
The Azalea Trail Run is a premier 10K road race in the United States. The event also includes 5K and 2K runs. All of the courses are flat and extremely fast.
Not a runner? Cheering on the Azalea Trail Run participants makes a great excuse to take a day trip from your Orange Beach vacation rental
and allows you to see the beauty of Mobile.
Springtime is one of the most exciting times of the year in this historic Southern city, and it will become obvious why the race is named after azaleas: These stunning flowers are in full bloom just about everywhere in the city, adding pleasant pops of color to its historic and more modern areas of town.
Grab a friend and commit to racing together. A two-bedroom gulf front condo
in Gulf Shores would also be a perfect home base.
