Saturdays and Sundays at OWA in October 2021 will be jam-packed with festivities celebrating fall and Halloween. Weekends are a perfect time to enjoy Park After Dark, Town of Terror and Island Movie Nights at OWA.

OWA is located adjacent to the Tanger Outlet mall in Foley just a few miles north of Gulf Shores area beaches.

Park After Dark - A No-Scare Zone

Head inside The Park at OWA for a variety of kid-friendly events and activities. From a singing pumpkin telling jokes to trick-or-treating with special characters and even a special hay maze, Park After Dark is an ideal family-focused Halloween activity.

Trick-or-treating will be held every Friday and Saturday in October. Times will be announced later. Wear your favorite Halloween ensembles, but nothing too scary. The Park is a no-scare zone.

A Monster Bash Costume Contest will be held inside the amusement park, with winners awarded in age groups ranging from 0-3 to 17+.

There will also be winners for overall categories among all ages: Most Creative, OWA Choice and Best Overall. While costumes will be the primary emphasis when it comes to judging, makeup, presentation and ingenuity will also be taken into account.

Town Of Terror - A Fun & Frightening Place

Things will get a little scarier in OWA’s Town of Terror.

This haunted house experience, which may be too intense for the littles, will be held Saturdays and Sundays in October. A theme will be determined soon.

Island Movie Nights - Perfect For Family, Friends & Even Pets

Saturday nights in fall take on a new dimension at OWA’s Island Amphitheater. That’s when you’re invited to bring a chair, blanket or towel and enjoy an evening outdoors on the lawn watching a family-friendly movie.

Bring the kids and even bring your pets, which are allowed on leashes.

Hungry? Popcorn, snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the Boathouse, or you can pick up a meal to go from a restaurant in Downtown OWA.

When you’re not at OWA enjoying these October activities, be sure to step out onto the private balcony of your Gulf-front vacation rental to enjoy a view of the Gulf Coast’s stellar fall sunsets. When you crave a slightly different view of the coastal environment, choose a waterfront vacation rental. The sunsets and sunrises are just as stunning from these welcoming properties.
