Fill up on some of the South’s best barbecue during the March 13, 2021, BBQ & Blues Cookoff. The event, one of the first of the Gulf Coast’s spring festival season, is always held the second Saturday in March at the quaint Heritage Park in downtown Foley, Alabama.
The cookoff is a fundraiser for the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, which provides a variety of resources to local teachers and schools as well as scholarships to college-bound students throughout the county.
Gates open at 11 a.m., and festival-goers can begin enjoying samples. Entertainment also begins at 11 a.m., and lasts through 4 p.m. Award winners are recognized at 4:30 p.m.
Arts and crafts vendors and retail vendors will also be on site.
Tickets for entry to the festival are $10 and are available at the gate or may be pre-purchased online at foleybbqandblues.net. Children 10 and under are free.
Fully cooked Boston Butts, provided by LA BBQ, will also be available for purchase for those who might want to take home a little taste of the festival!
In addition to the tasty eats, you can enjoy live blues music and the fresh spring air at downtown Foley's Heritage Park. While the event is a guaranteed great time for grill and barbecue enthusiasts, there's something for every member of the family. Arts and crafts, retail and children's activities will be available.
Don’t miss a minute of yummy barbecue and energetic blues music this year! Plan a Gulf Coast vacation over this weekend and stay in a Fort Morgan beach house.
Be sure to check out restaurants that are among the locals’ favorite hotspots.
