The city of Gulf Shores announced its 2020 Winter Entertainment Series.

The Drifters kick off the series Jan. 27-28, 2020. The Drifters have had five legendary lead singers, including Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King. The group was the first musical group to sell 2 million records with their pop classic, “Up on the Roof.”

The Drifters were the first African American vocal group to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The classic Drifters tune, “Under the Boardwalk,” is the most played R&B record of all time.

Tribute group December ’63 will take the stage Feb. 3-4, 2020. Honoring legendary vocal group The Four Seasons, the group brings a high-energy performance that includes amazing live vocals, talented backing musicians, audience interaction, spot-on choreography and comedy.

You’ll hear all the biggest Four Seasons hits, including “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Dawn,” “Let’s Hang On,” and more.

John Davidson, with special guest Gail Farrell, will be the third performance of the series Feb. 10-11, 2020. Star of TV, films and the Broadway stage, Davidson is a world-class entertainer. He is the only performer to have three TV shows in the top 10 at the same time, and has just returned from starring roles in the national tours of the Broadway shows “Wicked” and “Finding Neverland.”

Davidson’s live performances combine his singing, musicianship and humor into one entertaining evening. Guest star Gail Farrell was a longtime-featured vocalist and pianist on the “Lawrence Welk” TV series and continues to entertain audiences nationwide.

Harrison Greenbaum will wrap up the 2020 Winter Entertainment Series Feb. 17-18. Described as “the hardest-working man in comedy” and “one of the most unique acts you’ll ever see,” Harrison is one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch” and winner of the Andy Kaufman Award.

On TV, Greenbaum has been featured on “America’s Got Talent,” “Last Comic Standing,” “Conan,” AXS.TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” and National Geographic Channel’s “Brain Games.”

As a magician, Greenbaum was named one of “today’s best” by Newsday and tours around the world as one of the stars of “The Illusionists: Direct from Broadway,” the biggest selling magic show in history.

The most requested performer at “Monday Night Magic,” the longest running Off-Broadway magic show in New York, Greenbaum has also performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, the Mystery Lounge in Boston, and was one of only 30 magicians chosen to perform at the International Festival of Magic, Illusion, and the Unusual in Louisville, Ky.

All shows will be held at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center, 1930 West 2nd St., Gulf Shores. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 pm. Tickets are $35.
