Dates for Mardi Gras parades and festivities along the Gulf Coast have been announced.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, enjoy the Pirates of Lost Treasure Mardi Gras Flotilla in Perdido Key. The parade will begin at Holiday Harbor Marina.

The Knights of Ecor Rouge will hold their parade Saturday, Feb. 23, in Fairhope.

Head over to Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s on Wednesday, Feb. 27, for the 7th Annual Birds of Paradise Mardi Gras Ball.

The ball will showcase an evening of music, dancing and Mardi Gras fun. A buffet and open bar will be open, and music will be provided courtesy of the Tip Tops. Price is $75 per person.

The Mystical Order of Mirams parade will roll in Orange Beach at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28. The parade will begin at the traffic light east of Phoenix West and end at Hwy. 161.

The Maids of Jubilee Mardi Gras parade will be held on Friday, March 1, in Fairhope.

The Mystics of Pleasure will hold their parade at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 2. The Mystics krewe was Pleasure Island’s first nighttime Mardi Gras parading society. The group will use the same route as the Mirams.

The Foley parade will roll at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 2.

On Sunday, March 3, head on over to Downtown OWA in nearby Foley for the Krewe du Circque of Foley parade. The parade will be held at 4 p.m.

On Monday, March 4, spend Mardi Gras at the Wharf. Moonpies on Main is a day of Mardi Gras celebration, beginning with the Kid and Pet Parade at 4 p.m., in front of the Ferris Wheel. A DJ will provide live musical entertainment, and activities for children will include a rock-climbing wall, face painting, a bouncy house and various live animals.

A float parade will roll at 6 p.m., at the Wharf, giving the kids ample opportunity to fill goodie bags with more beads and candy.

Fat Tuesday, March 5, is a big day for parades along the Alabama Gulf Coast, with both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach getting into the act.

The Gulf Shores parade will roll at 10 a.m., and at 2 p.m., the Orange Beach parade will follow suit. The Orange Beach parade will use the same route as the Mystics and Mirams.
