Enjoy an early celebration of the holiday season by attending the third annual tree lighting ceremony at OWA. To be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, in the streets of Downtown OWA, the ceremony will include live entertainment, holiday cheer, and surprises for those in attendance. (More holiday activities)

The 36-foot tall Christmas tree sits at the main entrance of OWA, overlooking the 14-acre lake and picturesque fountain in the center of the property. Festivities begin in Downtown OWA at 5pm with live music throughout the streets, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and Christmas performers. The lighting of the tree will be at 6:50 p.m.

“With the weather cooling down on the Gulf Coast, we are thrilled to welcome the holiday season here at OWA,” said OWA spokesperson Kristin Hellmich. “Our Christmas tree lighting ceremony has only grown over the years, and this one is guaranteed to be a ceremony to remember.”

A Christmas light show, brief fireworks display, live performances and photos with Santa Claus will follow the lighting of the tree.

The ceremony is free and open to the public, with more information and a full schedule of events for the evening available at www.VisitOWA.com/Events.
