The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama, will host the Glow in the Park 5K Saturday, March 5, 2016, and will feature a new theme: the 80s! Big hair, rad leggings and lots of glow-in-the-dark fun are on tap!

The Glow in the Park 5K will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, at The Wharf and will feature a new theme: the 80s!

Participants are encouraged to wear their 80s hairdos, leg warmers, and other 80s accessories.

“And, like duh, we’ll have plenty of cool 80s accessories to fix you up with if you can’t find any,” organizers quipped.

With registration, competitors will receive a glow-in-the-dark race T-shirt (must register two weeks prior to event to guarantee), entry into the 80s-themed race, a slap bracelet, a glow necklace, two LED finger lights and glow paint.

Participants will pick up race packets on Saturday from 3:30-5:45 p.m. The race begins at 6 p.m. The after party, featuring a totally rad DJ, will begin at 6:15 and end at 8:15 p.m.

The race will support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life charity.

For on-site access, reserve your condo at The Wharf for the run, or bring a group of friends and stay in a four-bedroom condo in Orange Beach.
