Paying homage to the great musical heritage of Alabama, Jubilee is a riveting compilation of songs about or invoking the “Heart of Dixie” state. From blues and country to rock and gospel, the state of Alabama has played a central role in the development of America’s musical legacy. Jubilee showcases the rich and varied musical flavors, from the foothills of the Appalachian mountains to the white sandy beaches of the Gulf Coast.

Kids Pre-K4 through 7th grade can enjoy our amazing, science-based Summer Camps! From the arts and sports to 
forensics and engineering, there is something for everyone!

All camps are from 8:30am to 3:30pm and include two snacks each day. We do not provide lunch. Campers may bring their own lunch or they may purchase lunch at the Exploreum Café. Camp class size is restricted, so register soon!

Summer Camps June 4 - July 26 Tuesday - Fridays.  Ages 5-8 9:00am-12pm; Ages 9-12 1:00pm-4:00.  

Alabama's coast is the nesting home for hundreds of Loggerhead and Kemp Ridley turtles.  This two-hour sea turtle education program will include species and anatomy information, kid friendly activities and games, then a simulation of locating nests on the beach.  Participants meet Marine Educator, Belinda Ringpfeil, with Ocean Camp near a real sea turtle nest to observe.  Times: 6:00-8:00 pm Mon-Sat June-August.  Cost: $10 Adults/$5 children ages 4-17.  

Batter up! Join us for opening ceremonies on Tuesday June 18 and then hit the fields beginning on Wednesday June 19. Over 160 elite youth baseball teams compete for The Global World Series title. Every Wednesday, enjoy a special program about Bellingrath Gardens and Home, gardening, local history and nature.  Wonderful Wednesdays at Bellingrath is the perfect place to bring a friend and spend time among 65 acres of blooms!  Gardens Admission ($12.00 for adults & $ 6.50 for children 5-12) is charged for non-members attending programs unless otherwise listed. "The Poetry of Faith: Sermons Preached in a Southern Church" Lecture and Book Signing with Dr. Stephen F. Dill and Mr. Frye Gaillard

Dr. Dill and Mr. Gaillard will discuss how this delightful book of sermons by Dr. Dill was created and the context in which many of the sermons were written. A book signing will be held after the lecture. Reservations requested.

Creating Cascading Mums with Bellingrath's Chuck Owens.

Join us for our annual lunch cruise on the Fowl River just for kids! Dauphin Island Sea Lab will be here with their Touch Table, too! Using What You’ve Got: Making Elegant, Long-Lasting Arrangements Using Foliage from Your Garden with Gail McCain.

Make this summer memorable with family fun and adventure with Summer Excursions at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. These interactive field trips will explore two main ecosystems of Dauphin Island: the Salt Marsh Excursion and the Beach, Dune and Forest Excursion.

 Led by the Sea Lab’s experienced and knowledgeable educators, these excursions are a wonderful way for the whole family to have a hands-on, feet-wet experience while exploring our treasured coastal environment.

 Cost is $10 per person, including snack.  Children 18 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Excursions will depart from the Estuarium at 9:45am and return at 12:15pm on excursion days. Admission to the Estuarium is not included in the excursion cost.

 Dates for the Salt Marsh Excursions are: June 21; June 27; July 5; July 9; July 16; and August 1.

 Dates for the Beach, Dune and Forest Excursions are June 20; June 25; July 2; July 11; July 17 and July 30.

Buy fresh, buy local with at the Chicago Street Farmer's Market, held in Foley's Heritage Park. Choose from fresh produce, honey, plants, baked goods, eggs, wine, jams and more. 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm  Live entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. with a presentation by Discover Dance. From 6:30 pm to 8:15 pm we have music by DJ Kenny Graves, and a hula hoop and sock hop/twist contest! At dusk, the movie "Hairspray" will be featured on the giant inflatable screen. Admission is free and concessions will be sold on site. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets and join us for an evening under the stars.
