The jobs we have available are for housekeepers in our condominiums and beach houses. Pay will be on a piece-rate basis, meaning you will be paid by the number and size of rental units cleaned; i.e., the more/better/faster you clean, the more money you will earn. Gross pay will be at or above the federal minimum wage in the United States, however, the majority of our piece-rate housekeepers earn well above minimum wage. The specific job duties follow:
Duties include cleaning and/or inspecting resort rental properties including fully equipped 1- 11 bedroom beach houses and 1 - 5 bedroom condominiums. These vacation rental units have multiple bathrooms, all cookware, dishes, appliances, beds, linens, furnishings, laundry rooms, patios and balconies that a normal home has, and all of these items and areas must be thoroughly cleaned between each family's rental, which is typically 3 days to one week. Applicants must have the ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds, climb stairs, constantly bend, stoop and reach. Work is in tropical climate temperatures and weather, including rain and extreme heat. Successful applicants will be rquired to work weekends, holidays, and evenings/nights as needed. Schedule will be subject to change at any time. As your primary employer, Meyer Real Estate wil not be able to accommodate secondary work schedules. Housekeepers will interface with other employees as necessary to provide STAR treatment to all guests, owners and staff of Meyer Real Estate.
Students MUST arrive in the U.S. ready to work at a date in May 2010 (to be specifically designated later) and work until early August 2010. A $100 US program deposit will be required to be paid with acceptance of your job offer, approximately December 1, 2009. Housing will be provided at a cost not to exceed $100/week per student. Students must reside in specified housing to accomodate transportation to/from work.
