History of the Baldwin Pops
The Baldwin Pops Concert Band was created not only to entertain communities in Southern Alabama, but to educate the public about Broadway, classical, jazz and many other styles of music as well.
As the name suggests, the band members hail from Baldwin County, Alabama. The organization is devoted to contributing to the community by opening up audiences to the wonderful world of music. Band members also host clinics and educational events to stimulate interest among the youth and show them how music can benefit their lives.
What you can expect at the show
If you're a fan of Broadway, a Baldwin Pops concert is right up your alley! On any given night you can expect to hear tunes from popular musicals - and you're welcome to sing along. Think of it like a live karaoke or, better yet, a full band backing up your spectacular voice.
Not into show tunes? The band also plays your classical favorites and pop tunes from groups such as The Beatles.
