Gulf Shores nominated as one of America's Coolest Small Towns
Anyone who has booked Gulf Shores vacation packages knows how fantastic this coastal city is. Its white sand beaches and aquamarine waters are complemented by the close-knit, friendly community that welcomes each and every visitor with classic Southern hospitality.
It seems the word has gotten out about Gulf Shores - it has been nominated more than once as one of the "Coolest Small Towns in America" in Budget Travel magazine. Being named among finalists
from states from every region, this is high praise indeed, and proof
of the beach town's popularity.
With Gulf Shores condo rentals right on the beach and plenty of
nearby attractions like the zoo, golf courses and the natural beauty
of Gulf State Park, it's hard to imagine Gulf Shores not being honored with one of the top spots on the list.
Budget Travel reports the city has received acclaim for the annual National Shrimp Festival - three days of top-notch fine arts plus arts and crafts, non-stop concerts and sand castle contests. But even if you travel to this Gulf Coast vacation destination another time during the year, you'll be treated to some of the best seafood anywhere in the nation at almost every one of the Gulf Shores restaurants. The magazine recommends LuLu's at Homeport Marina, a dockside eatery that is owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister, Lucy.
There is so much to discover and enjoy in each of this island's four beach towns. Isn't is time that you planned a trip to see what everybody has been raving about?
