Fairhope, Alabama - less than an hour's drive from Gulf Shores - hosts the Annual Arts & Crafts Festival each March, drawing hundreds of exhibitors and hundreds of thousands of visitors. In fact, past year's events have attracted upwards of 350,000 people to the area.
While vacationing in a Gulf Shores condo rental this March, you may want to find your way to the Eastern Shore to check out the 220-plus artists and craftspeople who will be showing off their best pieces. The Chamber, Chairman's and Best in Show awards are given each year, as well as awards of distinction and merit. There are also State, Jury and Reciprocal awards.
This free event is the perfect way to celebrate spring in the South - the activities of the festival take place on the quaint streets of downtown Fairhope, where azaleas and thousands of other flowers are in full bloom during this time of year.

The festival was also voted number 26 in the 100 Best Predominantly Classic & Contemporary Craft Shows in the nation by Sunshine Artist Magazine, and is among the top 20 events chosen by the Southeast Tourism Society.
