Pepsi Star Series and The Wharf presents: BB King and Willie Nelson
07/26/2008
Tickets on sale Saturday May 10, 2008. Get your tickets from TicketMaster here.
Universally hailed as the reigning king of the blues, the legendary B.B. King is without a doubt the single most important electric guitarist of the last half century. A contemporary blues guitar solo without at least a couple of recognizable King-inspired bent notes is all but unimaginable, and he remains a supremely confident singer capable of wringing every nuance from any lyric. Visit BB's website here.
Nelson's albums -- nearly 300 titles, including repackagings -- have sold millions. Stardust, his 1978 cover collection of the pop hits of his youth, exceeds 5 million in sales, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Three others have sold 4 million copies each, along with two double-platinum albums and nine platinum albums. Visit
Willie's website here.
