Guided Tours at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge

Starts 9:00am WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE (please call for more information). Explore the maritime forest and adjacent Little Lagoon on this recently improved trail complete with boardwalk. Many species of plants and birds can often be seen along this trail. Meet at Jeff Friend Trailhead. Rating: Easy to moderate. Time: 1 ½ hour. Distance: 1 mile.

Pensacola Lighthouse Presentation at the Orange Beach Library

6:00 p.m., the Orange Beach Public Library will welcome the Education Coordinator for the Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum, Fonda Thomas. Mrs. Thomas will introduce the technology behind lighthouses, share some of the historical highlights of Pensacola Lighthouse and discuss current preservation efforts. Situated on Pensacola Bay, the current tower has aided coastal navigation since 1859. Through a lease with the US Coast Guard, the Pensacola Lighthouse Association is solely responsible for the maintenance and public tour operations of the Pensacola Light. Mrs. Thomas is a retired school teacher, and a long-term supporter of the Pensacola Lighthouse.

South Baldwin Community Theatre presents: Mousetrap

The play is based on a short story, itself based on the radio play, but Christie asked that the story not be published as long as it ran as a play in the West End of London. The short story has still not been published within the United Kingdom but it has appeared in the United States in the 1950 collection Three Blind Mice and Other Stories.
